Don’t Always Expect Good Service

All upscale hotels and restaurants do provide good to great service, especially the ones that tourists frequent. But don’t expect this from all places. Some restaurants have servers who do not possess the enthusiasm to serve guests as most Westerners are used to. Do not expect greetings or small talk like “How are you doing today?”, most likely they won’t even speak English. And they may also bring your appetizer, main course, and dessert at the same time. Or it may take longer than you expect. Well, tips are not expected anyway in such places. You may have to raise your hand to get service, it is not difficult to do anyway.
