It is a sad sight to see some tourists with several large bags to haul. There are so many things you can purchase in China, you don’t need to bring your whole closet with you. And they are cheap. This would include medicines as well, most are generic to be more affordable. A lot do not need prescriptions as well. The only thing is if you have very large feet or are extremely large. You may not find items to fit you, as most Chinese are not as large. Shoes that are bigger than size 13 will be a problem, or any shirt larger than XXX. But for the not-so-large tourists, you can find everything you will need, so pack light. Don’t burden yourself unnecessarily.
