Some people think that there is nothing wrong with throwing some stuff overboard. Some don’t think anybody will find out anyway. Not all litter bugs are actually caught, but let your conscience dictate what is proper and what is not. Even if you think that throwing a small candy wrapper overboard for example, will not really harm the environment, think again. Anything that will add to the already polluted seas and oceans will make you as guilty as if you have dumped a ton of candy wrappers. Remember also that because of maritime laws and international laws, littering at sea is a lot more grave than littering on land. Even a single candy wrapper thrown can get you kicked off the ship. It has happened to several travellers caught littering. Don’t let it happen to you.
