Dizziness Caused By Circulation Problems And Heart Diseases

WebMD

High blood pressure, low blood pressure, toxins or medications that may affect your heart rate or force of contraction, and other heart diseases may cause symptoms of dizziness. You may feel dizzy, lightheaded, or off-balance if your heart is not pumping enough blood to your brain. A dramatic drop in your blood pressure may result in a feeling of faintness or brief lightheadedness. Orthostatic hypotension occurs when there’s a sudden drop in your blood pressure due to a change in your position, such as standing up too quickly from a sitting or supine position. Postprandial hypotension occurs when there’s an excessive decrease in blood pressure after a meal, and this may lead to dizziness and falls.
Conditions that cause poor blood circulation, such as heart attacks, heart arrhythmia or irregular heart rhythms where your heart rate is either too fast or too slow, cardiomyopathy, and transient ischemic attack (TIA), may cause dizziness due to the decrease in blood flow or supply to your brain or inner ear.
