In the early 2000s, Shawn and Marlon Wayans were just two representatives of the Wayans family that everyone wanted a piece of. They were on SNL, making movies, and basically making a name for themselves wherever they went. Since they were all about the comedy, a few were cast in the spoof of such cult films as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer that became an instant hit, Scary Movie. Anna Faris, comedian and ex-wife of Chris Pratt, who also starred in the movie, shared, “Keenen told me two amazing bits of advice. One was that there’s no vanity in comedy, and two, don’t wink at the audience. You have to be willing to embrace the idea that the audience is going to think you’re an idiot. That was an important lesson to me.”
