Another Shot of Steve Carrell’s Character on The Office, Trying to Get Some Stress Relief

The American version of the TV series The Office wouldn’t have been as successful as it was if Steve Carrell wasn’t playing one of the leading roles. His character on the show, Michael Scott, was one of those insipid and hilariously annoying characters that was just so spot on that Carrell’s portrayal would make him a serious household name. Although he was one of the favorite characters, Carrell was forced to leave the show when producers of NBC didn’t make him an offer to stay on. Casting Director Allison Jones shared, “As I recall, he was going to do another season and then NBC, for whatever reason, wouldn’t make a deal with him. Somebody didn’t pay him enough. It was absolutely asinine. I don’t know what else to say about that. Just asinine.”
