Britney Spears Performing on Stage With a Beautiful Yet Very Real Tiger

Even though Britney didn’t need the extra entertainment during her performances, she was still tasked to dance with the live tiger, and many other animals, during the 2001 Video Music Awards. Crazily, the tiger belonged to none other than Doc Antle, of the men that became infamous on the controversial Netflix series’ Tiger King. Antle shared that while many were impressed by the tiger, he on the other hand, was impressed with Spears. He said, “[Britney] was such a darling, totally just a fanatic person wanting a perfect performance… We were there for several days rehearsing so that the tigers would be relaxed and happy to be out there and that everything could be smooth and taken care of as best as possible. She was there rehearsing and working—just the hardest working, sweetest young girl, out there making all the pieces click together.”
