Although Penelope Cruz was already a star in her home country of Spain, she was a newbie when it came to Hollywood. But that didn’t stop her from following her dreams, one of which was to work with the one and only Johnny Depp. According to Cruz, she didn’t know much English but one phrase she did know was “I want to work with Johnny Depp.” She was eventually cast in the Blow, as the partner of Depp’s cocaine smuggling character in the movie. After filming was done, she shares that she learned one more phrase, which was “Then after I worked with him on Blow, I learned how to say, ‘I want to work with Johnny Depp again!’ He’s very addictive and he just gets better and better over the years.”
