‘Genie in A Bottle’ singer Christina Aguilera was one of the biggest singing stars, having started her career back in the 90s. While she was loved by most, her immediate rival at the time was Britney Spears, and the two were often pitted against each other when it came to who was the bigger star. Unfortunately, due to Aguilera’s “bad girl” reputation, she was often seen as, well, the bad girl while Spears was always the good girl. Aguilera shared her thoughts, saying, “It’s hard to hear yourself being called names. I remember being hurt by these commercials on MTV, pitting Britney as the good girl and me as the bad girl. It’s like, if I’m going to be demure and innocent, that’s okay. But if I’m going to just be myself, I’m trouble.”
