Anyone that has watched The Notebook will tell you that it was because of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling’s amazing chemistry that made the movie such a hit. Add to that the fact that the couple ended up falling in love off screen while having to fall in love on screen made it that much sweeter to watch. But things didn’t always come up roses when the couple first starting filming this incredibly romantic movie. They didn’t exactly hit it off from the start, but as the movie ensued, they couldn’t deny the way they felt towards each other by the time they wrapped up the filming. To most of their fans’ chagrin, their love eventually fizzled out and they called it quits. And even though people believed that it had to be a passionate breakup, Gosling actually shared that it was more about both of them being too busy for the other. “Show business is the bad guy. When both people are in show business it’s too much show business. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow,” he explained.
