Keanu Reeves has had a very lengthy career, one that started in the 80s but gained true momentum in the 90s when he went into action films like Speed, Point Break and his most popular series, The Matrix. But it would seem that although he’s had a very illustrious career, filming the grueling Matrix film sequels truly took a toll on him and forcing him to take a step back from acting for a while, hence the trip to Paris. He shared with Rolling Stone magazine, “Before, we fought one at a time, and I know that they want me to do five. Which is master. That’s the real deal. If you can fight five people, that’s Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee stuff. So you need a whole other technique for that. You need a whole other level of proficiency, to be able to film close to real time and to be consistent and to have power on blows and to sell the punches.”
