She was only 20 years old then, but playing the beautiful nemesis of James Bond made her an international beauty icon. The fact that she and Roger Moore were good friends did not add to her popularity, her acting and good looks were the main attraction. Her roles in other great films further enhanced her image as a great actress, and she eventually won an Emmy Award, 2 Golden Globe Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In the year 2000, Seymour was appointed as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
