Music during the 70s was varied and amazing. Many people will never forget entertainers like Carly Simon, who had a string of hit records, including the No. 1 hit “You’re so Vain”, alluding to a famous actor (can you guess who?). Though she was a popular star, she never let it go to her head. Even her marriage to superstar James Taylor was simple, they lived in a tiny shack, with a doorless bathroom, and tools hanging on the walls. It was a groovy era after all, and both Carly and James epitomized the coolness of the period in their lifestyles and their music. Even as the couple divorced in 1983, Carly recalls the fondness they had for each other, and the respect they shared for music.
