The Original Gilligan’s Island Girl

Everyone knew Dawn Wells as the adorable Mary Ann from the iconic TV show Gilligan’s Island. Although she had also appeared in a bunch of other movies like Return to Boggy Creek and The Town That Dreaded Sundown, she was still best known for all her roles on Gilligan’s, including the other Gilligan reprise shows. Wells was also aware that this particular show is what made her famous, and that it was way more wholesome back in the 60s than what it would be like if it was shot now. She said, “They couldn’t even show my navel. We’ve come a long way. If we were doing the show today, we’d all be living in the same hut.”
