Hailing from Luxembourg, Mandy Minella currently ranks in the top 100 of the women’s tour, with her highest ranking at 66 on 2012, the year she reached the third round of the US Open for the second time. The 5’11” beauty turned professional in 2001, and has so far won one singles title and two doubles WTA titles. She was voted Luxembourg’s “Sportswoman of the Year” in 2011” after reaching the third round of the US Open for the first time, where she fell to Venus Williams. The 34-year-old, who is coached by her husband, Tim Sommer, has announced that she will be retiring at the end of the 2020 season.
