The elegant Donna Vekić is a young Croatian player currently ranked number 24 in the women’s tour. She turned professional in 2012 and so far has won two WTA singles titles, with a career-high ranking of 19 after reaching the quarterfinal of the 2019 US Open. She’s had a slow start for the year, with a quarterfinal appearance at the Adelaide International her best showing. Off-court, she’s doing pretty well, having appeared on the cover of magazines like Gloria and Cosmopolitan, her first for the popular magazine. She was supposed to compete next at the Miami Open on March 24, until the tournament was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
