Ma Huateng is the founder and chair of Tencent Holdings, the Chinese Internet giant, and one of the most valuable companies in Asia. He is a Chinese business magnate, investor, engineer, philanthropist, and internet and technology entrepreneur. Tencent’s popular social messaging app WeChat has over 1 billion users. In 2018, Tencent listed its music-streaming subsidiary, Tencent Music, on the New York Stock Exchange. He co-founded Tencent in 1998. He is a more low-profile billionaire compared to his rival in Alibaba. He resides in Shenzhen, China, and is surprisingly only 48 years old. Tencent also has minority stakes in Spotify, and electric car maker, Tesla.
