Definitely the richest woman in the world. She became the reigning L’Oreal heiress after her mother passed away in 2017. As the chairwoman of the company, her family owns 33% of L’Oreal stock. She has been on the board since 1997, and is chairwoman of the family holding company. She serves as the president of her family’s philanthropic foundation, which encourages French progress in the sciences and arts. The foundation, together with L’Oreal, are donating $226 million to repair Notre Dame cathedral following the 2019 fire. There was a controversy regarding her inheritance when she filed a criminal complaint against her mother’s closest friend for trying to manipulate her ailing mother out of her fortune.
