When the Olympics was hosted by Brazil, in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, there were tons of reports about how horrible the pollution was, with some even citing a dead body that had washed upon the shore of the beach at one point. And sadly, Rio wasn’t the only one. Beijing, Athens, London and Sydney were also on the list with what many considered as miserable failures, even calling the Sydney Olympics the “Smelly Games.” Often times, the games take place in a number of different areas all throughout the country where they are being held, but what is hardly shown on the news are the unpleasant details that the Olympic committees don’t want anyone to see.
