While the medals and their designs have been changed throughout the years, it was only during the Sydney Olympics when their new design was revealed once more. Again, it had the Roman Colosseum except this time, no one actually liked the idea of it being on the medals and they started to complain. The Olympics officials even tried to brush it aside saying that it was the actual Roman Colosseum but it was just another colosseum. Of course no one believed them but there was nothing that they could do.
