As mentioned before, every country prides itself in being able to “host” the Olympics. And if you break that word down, it truly does mean that you will be paying to have millions in your country to watch thousands compete to win just hundreds of medals. And while having the most money will get you the job, but it’ll give your country a sense of pride that only a few others, in retrospect, can feel as well.
