Sadly, rumor has it that horses aren’t the only ones who go through inhumane training. Reportedly, sled dogs used in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics were supposedly killed because they no longer had any use after working so hard to help their athletes win medals. In fact, a mass grave of 56 of these beautiful sled dogs was found months after their senseless deaths. And it isn’t just working animal athletes either! Apparently the Olympic committees had people remove healthy stray dogs from the streets in Sochi, Greece and Beijing as well, sending them to their deaths instead of shelters. It’s another one of the ugly hidden truths of the Olympics that no one wants the public to know.
