When visiting Houston, don’t forget to bring an umbrella or a bathing suit with you at all times as the weather can be quite unpredictable. Known for its heat and humidity, with temperatures reaching 35°C and humidity as high as 95°, don’t be surprised to get invited to cool down either at the beach or at the pool, with over 30 public swimming pools in addition to hotels, clubs, and residences. Don’t leave home without an umbrella as well, as Houston gets more than 100 rainy days per year, and they often come with little or no warning at all. It is said Houston gets more average rainfall than Seattle so have one handy in your bag, car, or wherever you can keep one.
