It’s not hot in Houston. It’s awfully hot! With only about a couple or so months of nice and cold weather, be prepared for the stifling heat the rest of the year, especially in August. It is so hot that you need to have really good air-conditioning and insulation in your home, as well as in your car, especially if you park under the sun. Couple that with the high humidity that makes the heat worse, and you need to take showers every now and then to take the stickiness of the sweat off your body. Doesn’t matter if you’re under the shade, you have to accept the fact that you will be drenched in sweat each time you go outdoors. With that said, you need to be careful and acclimate yourself before engaging in strenuous activities outside.
