Once you’ve successfully obtained a visa and safely arrived in Iraq, remember that you will have to leave the country the same way you arrived. You will need to exit Iraq by the same border where you entered the country. If you arrived at the Baghdad International Airport (BGW), formerly called Saddam International Airport, then you’ll have to depart from the same airport. If you flew in the Sulaymaniyah International Airport, then you’ll have to leave from the same Kurdistan border. There are two other Iraqi airports to consider for your arrival and departure, namely the Basra International Airport (BSR) and the Najaf International Airport (NJF). After a difficult visa application, it’s quite easy to travel to Iraq by plane. You can fly with Iraq Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, or Turkish Airlines.
