This is a photo of the iconic Vanna White as a game show contestant on The Price is Right. It was her first appearance in a game show, and while she did not make it onstage, the clip of her running to Contestants Row was rebroadcast as part of The Price is Right 25th Anniversary Special in August of 1996. After Wheel of Fortune hostess Susan Stafford left in October 1982, White was selected as one of three substitute hostess to co-host the show. Two months later, she became the regular hostess and signed on to host the show until 2022. White was presented with a Guiness World Record certificate for “Most Frequent Clapper”, and it was estimated that she clapped at least 3,480,864 times across the show’s 30 seasons.
