They Were Day Trippers

This is a photo of the Fab Four relaxing in the sunlight, taking a much needed break from recording in 1963. That was the same year that they released several songs, including “Please, Please Me”, “She Loves You”, followed by “I Want To Hold Your Hand”. The next year was their historic visit to the US, where crowds of screaming teenage fans were waiting for them to arrive, the moment their plane touched down. Just watching footage of how beloved they were by so many people gives us goosebumps, and it warms our hearts to see pictures like these of them relaxing (although we must confess, we don’t know who that guy in the back behind Paul is).
