Unlike fellow pole vaulter Allison Stokke, who became an overnight sensation when her pic went viral, Alysha has no qualms in embracing the opportunities that have been given her as a result of not just her achievements in the track, but from her looks as well. The number four ranked pole-vaulter in the world signed up with high-end, UK-based lingerie brand, Agent Provocateur, and appeared in an ad campaign which also featured three other Olympians. While this may sound unthinkable for Stokke, especially since the Canadian is not exactly endorsing sportswear, Newman believes that this is also a step towards another goal of hers, which is to become the first Olympic athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The confident, and definitely sexy, athlete is not worried that this venture of hers will get in the way of her preparations for the Olympics, and is actually a good way to supplement her earnings. The 26-year-old is also a Nike athlete and promotes brands through social media.
