Meet the “world’s sexiest fighter” Avril Mathie, a professional boxer, model, and fitness expert holding an undefeated 5-0-1 record in the ring with the only blemish, if you can call her as having one, a fiercely fought draw for the title with Samantha Salazar in her third professional fight. The Sydney, Australia born bantamweight last fought in January, beating Angelina Hoffschneider by TKO in Miami. She started boxing in 2012, eventually moving to the US to focus on the sport. She trains at the 5th St. Gym in Miami, where she is now based, and had her first amateur fight after only six months of training. Twenty fights and five years later in December 2017, she turned professional. She is currently ranked number six in the country and was looking forward to climbing up the rankings further before her March 20 fight got cancelled due of the coronavirus outbreak.
