Aimee Cringle is a British CrossFitter from the Isle of Man and a member of the CrossFit IOM team that competed at the 2020 Reebok CrossFit Games. This year, the games were held in two stages, including an online stage that was held in each of the competing teams’ own country as a result of the pandemic. The 21-year-old Cringle also represented the Isle of Man at the 2019 Island Games, which was held at the Lathbury Sports Complex, Gibraltar in July 2019. Aimee won Manx’s fourth athletics gold of the game when the first time competitor clocked in a record-breaking 63.58 seconds in the women’s 400m hurdles, beating 2013 champion Shianne Smith of Bermuda by almost a full second. She was also part of the 4x400m relay team that won gold and led to her being nominated for the Under 21 Sportswoman of the Year in the 2019 Isle of Man Sports Awards. The versatile athlete also previously competed at the 2018 Microgaming 2018 IoM Triathlon Championships, finishing fifth.
