Sabina Altynbekova

Kazakh beauty Sabina Altynbekova is a professional volleyball player who first burst into the scene as a 17-year-old member of Kazakhstan’s youth volleyball squad at the 2014 Asian Junior Women’s Volleyball Championship in Taiwan. The Almatinochka-Almaty national team also won the silver in the Higher League’s 2013-2014 season. The pretty spiker became an immediate sensation at the under-19 tournament, with local newspapers even devoting several pages just to show her photos, and got so much attention that her coach called her a “distraction” and complained that fans were behaving like there’s only one player on the team. Sabina was quickly picked up by professional Japanese club GSS Sunbeams and was also signed to an exclusive marketing deal by sports agency Dentsu. After her short stint in Japan, she came back to play for her local club Almaty before moving to the United Arab Emirates to play for the Al-Wasl club. She most recently signed up with Italian club VolAlto 2.0 Caserta, which competes in the Serie A2.
