Don’t Go All Out On Your First Night

Even if you think you’re only spending a short vacation here, don’t think you can make the most out of it by going all-out on the very first night.  Any day in the party and liquor scene in the French Quarter can easily be mistaken for a weekend party atmosphere, especially when Mardi Gras approaches, which can lead you to overindulge right off the bat.  Making yourself prone to dehydration and hangover is not the best way to enjoy what the city has to offer in your second day.  If you really have to drink that much, it would be a good idea to at least keep yourself hydrated by chugging in lots of water in between drinks.
