Don’t let your fun get cut short by getting pickpocketed in the crowded party places or streets in the French Quarter.  Pickpockets and thieves are constantly on the lookout for their next victim and if you’re new to the place, you might get a bit overwhelmed by the festivities, as well as the booze, which might get you marked by these predators.  Don’t make it easy for them by not keeping your billfold or wallet in your back pocket.  Needless to say, but don’t flaunt cash in the first place as that will surely serve as an open invite for getting mugged.
