France isn’t the McDonald’s country where you’re allowed to up-size everything. Look around and you’ll scarcely see an overweight man or woman sitting beside you. The French love to eat, but it sensible portions. In fact, many of them prepare to have small pastries and a cup of coffee as their first meal of the day. Some establishments might serve bacon and eggs for tourists, but nothing grand either.
