Expect Ice in Your Drinks

In most countries, people expect ice in their drinks. In fact, you need not ask the server in a restaurant. They automatically fill your glass with ice, especially when you order for juice or a soft drink. It’s a different story in France. Even if you order a glass of soda, you won’t get any ice. Try asking the waiter and you’ll be surprised to find that the restaurant has none. The French aren’t really fond of ice. Hence, the restaurants don’t have them in stock. So, don’t fret and simply enjoy how wonderfully chilled your drink is.
