Okay, you’re excited to be with new people in a new neighborhood, but that doesn’t give you the right to talk in exclamation points. The French are pretty respectful of other people, especially when talking in public. They often regulate their tones when they’re out with friends. That’s because they understand the importance of courtesy and privacy. Oftentimes, when you hear a large group of people talking loud in a public area, these are oftentimes anglophone tourists. So, be mindful of other people, especially at night when many of them sleep with their windows wide open.
