Never Take Rides With Strangers In The City

Romantic movies would make it seem like meeting a random stranger during your vacation, sharing a cab ride, and developing a bond with a total stranger happens a lot. Or a random stranger just so happens to see you and offers you a ride, and then you establish a connection. It does happen, but there is a higher chance of getting into trouble and becoming a victim of a crime if you do this. We are not saying that you should not mingle with people. This has more to do with traveling in a vehicle alone with someone you don’t know. This is actually not just a rule for Jamaica, but it is a common-sense rule to decrease the chance of becoming a victim of a crime. Putting yourself in a situation where you can easily be taken advantage of by a complete stranger in a strange place is not a wise thing to do. If you really want to mingle and meet new people, better do it in a public place.
