There are a lot of other things to do on the island of Jamaica, rather than just lounging on the beach during your entire trip. Why not visit some of the most popular waterfalls on the island? Try visiting some waterfalls like Dunn’s River Falls, Mayfield Falls, or YS Falls.
Dunn’s River Falls are made up of several distinct sections. The falls have a step-like appearance and have many small pools all over their entire length. These falls are a year-round favorite destination, since these are near a beautiful white beach where the water from the falls flows into the Caribbean.
Other than the popular Jamaican waterfalls, there are other gorgeous waterfalls to visit. There is the Blue Hole located in Ocho Rios, which is a big blue hole filled with aquamarine water, and it is near a delightful waterfall. Then there is Tacky Falls in the northeastern parish of St. Mary, which has a 60m tall natural waterfall with no distracting commercial activities. Then there is the Cane River Falls, which can be found just outside of Kingston. The Cane River Falls contain several large pools where visitors can enjoy a swim while being surrounded by nature. These are just some notable falls that are worth a visit, but of course, these are just some locations from a long list of places you can enjoy while in Jamaica.
