Forget to Bring Your ID

Always, always, always have your ID with you when traveling around Poland. While the cops don’t really hassle tourists visiting the country, it is always a good idea to have your identification within reach in the event authorities ask you for it. Another reason to have proper identification on you is for people to know who you are, and who to call in the event of an emergency.
Instead of lugging your actual passport around, bringing a photocopy of it together with another valid ID from home, would be a better option to avoid you misplacing your actual passport by accident.
You might argue that brining an ID with you all the time is overkill, but believe us, even the locals carry their proofs of identification when they go about their daily business around Poland.
When in Poland, do as the Poles do.
