Ok, by this time, you already know how the Polish love drinking. In a country as cold as theirs, with a very impressive craft brew and vodka scene, who wouldn’t? Given the dazzling array and countless varieties of cocktails, vodkas, beers and other liquor found in Poland’s watering holes, restaurants and grocery stores, it would be very difficult for one to resist having a tiny little drink at the very least.
If you do decide to give-in to your thirst, always remember that you’re not in Germany or Czechia, which are Poland’s neighboring countries. Why? Because unlike its next-door neighbors who allow the consumption of alcohol in public, Poland prohibits people from drinking out in the open.
That said, it should make sense to you that getting publicly intoxicated in Poland is frowned upon too. Not only that, getting drunk in the streets can get actually get you in very big trouble with the law. The Polish police will not hesitate to throw you behind bars should you be caught, regardless of whether you were driving a car on not.
