The Polish are sticklers for rules, and are not a bunch who would blatantly disregard the law, especially when it comes to driving. They also observe the proper pedestrian rules, especially those laws that pertain to crossing the street. That said, you should never, ever jaywalk in Poland, lest you want to be slapped a very hefty fine of roughly US $136 if you happen to get caught by the cops.

Observe and respect traffic signals and make sure to only cross the street when the light turns green. Always use the pedestrian lane when crossing as this is something that the poles take seriously.
