Call it Eastern Europe

Many people wrongly-assume that Poland is part of Eastern Europe, the part of the continent that was once controlled by the Soviets during the Cold War.
While they might be partly-correct due to the fact that the country was once under the influence of the USSR, Poland, geographically, is actually part of Central Europe, which also include other countries namely: Austria, Croatia, The Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
That’s why If you still insist on incorrectly calling Poland Eastern Europe, we wouldn’t be surprised if an irritated local, eyes rolling and all, corrects you for your ignorance.
