She attended drama school, but teachers believed that she was too shy to ever be on a stage. Eventually, she began work as a model and began landing roles in movies like Roman Scandals and The Three Musketeers. Eventually, she would go on to make 72 movies, however it was her role as the memorable Lucy from I Love Lucy, a TV series loosely based on her marriage to the Cuban actor Desi Arnaz. America loved it, as it was a pioneering series, and first ever bi-racial series at the time. While audiences loved it, yet they loved Lucy more, and she continued to be one of Hollywood’s most famed and loved comedic stars of her time.
