One of the most publicized American domestic terrorists, Timothy McVeigh, wreaked havoc on the nation when he left a 5,000-pound bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. When it exploded, it ended up killing more than 168 people that included 19 children that happened to be attending a nursery school located on the second floor, and even injuring another 600. At the time of this horrific event, it was considered the worst terrorist attack on American soil since the 9/11 terrorist attack. He was eventually executed via lethal injection on June 11, 2001.
