Another important thing to never do in Iran. Never talk or criticize Iranian politics. Locals are very sensitive about the issue, especially from a foreigner or “infidel.” Iranians are very vocal about their opinions, you may listen but don’t offer your own views. Particularly about the recent problem with the US. If they feel you are taking the side of the US, you will be in real trouble. Politics is never a good topic for conversation, it can lead to heated arguments. It is best left to the politicians, even though some of them don’t really know what they are saying.
