Don’t Think It’s All Sand Dunes And Desert In Iran

Most tourists who are not familiar with the place (and don’t do their research) think it is all about arid sandy desert plains. While Iran does have desert areas, there is more in this country to see and enjoy. They have splendid seaside resorts that can rival tropical islands. They have plenty of mountains with magnificent scenery, and popular ski resorts as well! The 2 major ski resorts are Shemshak and Dizin. Dizin is the largest, and at an elevation of over 8,700 feet, is higher than Europe’s highest resort. Shemshak has more challenging slopes, and is not for the novice skier.
