Don’t Think Persian Rugs Are Perfect

There are many who know that Persian carpets are among the best in the world. There are some rugs that date back 2,000 years and are auctioned off for millions of dollars. They may be among the best, but they are not perfect… intentionally. There is an old Persian proverb that translates to “A Persian rug is perfectly imperfect, and precisely imprecise.” This simply is based on the belief that only God can create perfection. But experts can’t deny the fact that the skills to weave a Persian rug are unbeatable. And maybe only experts will be able to notice the subtle imperfections created on purpose. Still, for most of us, owning a Persian rug is like owning a part of history. By the way, don’t expect to find one that can fly.
