Don’t Wear Shoes Indoors

If you have travelled to Asia, you will notice that people don’t wear shoes inside the house. They change to slippers or walk barefoot. The same goes in Iran. it is a custom to leave your shoes by the door before you enter a home. If slippers are not provided, it is okay to walk in barefoot or in your socks. Wearing your shoes inside is disrespectful. But in lavish homes and formal gatherings, Iranians have made exceptions to this custom.
