Philadelphia is a city proud of its history, as well as how strongly they feel about freedom, liberty and equality. In fact, they have an entire neighborhood that is concentrated on the rights of the LGBT community known as the “Gayborhood.” Located close to Washington Square, the entire neighborhood is dedicated to every type of homosexual, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, trans, etc. with at least 36 gay pride rainbow flags proudly flying all throughout the area. The city even made their own phrase for this portion of the city that states, “Get your history straight and your nightlife gay.” Sounds like an incredibly fun area to visit, no matter your sexual orientation.
