No matter what way you try to spin it, Philly is and will always be considered a “beer town.” Having been home to the oldest brewery in America, Yuengling, which has been around since 1829, they take their beer very seriously around here. They also have loads of microbreweries that have created a number of specialty and craft beers that the city’s residents love to test out and basically drink whenever they can. The city even gave itself a nickname, “Best Beer-Drinking City in America” and can rival Oktoberfest with their own version known as ‘Philly Beer Week,’ which is more a ten day celebration rather than just 7. Never order a cocktail if you can help it even if you don’t truly like beer, or least drink a pint to say that you at least tried some.
